James Gabb is a solicitor with over 23 years of experience. James completed his legal training with Rickerbys in Cheltenham, where he worked as a commercial litigator before founding J H Gabb & Co in 2005.
James deals with the day-to-day management of the firm and specialises in property and litigation work.
In his spare time, James enjoys physical training and occasionally enters triathlons or running events. He also enjoys learning the guitar, piano and foreign languages.

After completing her LLB Honours Law Degree in 2006 and her Legal Practice Course in 2007, Catherine began her career as a Personal Injury Paralegal at Shoosmiths and Keogh's Solicitors. In January 2015, she joined Gabb Legal as a Paralegal in the Residential Property Department and qualified as a Solicitor in June 2018.
Catherine specializes in all aspects of residential property, including leasehold and freehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, and new builds. She is committed to effectively communicating with clients, ensuring they understand the process and are kept fully informed throughout their transactions.

Caroline has a wealth of experience dealing with agricultural, commercial and residential property. She specialises in complex property transactions including mixed use properties and listed buildings but also deals with lettings and sales for all kinds of property, providing a bespoke and proactive service and working closely with clients to understand their individual circumstances.

Sophie joined J H Gabb and Co as a Trainee Solicitor in January 2022, qualifying as a Solicitor in July 2023.
Sophie specialises in civil and commercial litigation having over 6 years’ experience in all types of disputes.
From simple debt recovery and possessions claims to more complex boundary, shareholder and probate disputes, Sophie has extensive knowledge of the law to assist our clients in disputes of all sizes.
Sophie can assist clients in identifying their options swiftly and is committed to communicating transparent advice to ensure our clients are aware of the merits and risks of all options available. This allows our clients to make an informed decision on how to proceed.
Sophie understands the stresses that can be involved in dealing with a dispute and with her aim to take away the stress of the process for our clients, Sophie is able to work towards client objectives successfully, working to achieve a resolution that clients are happy with.

Harry completed his undergraduate studies in Law, earning an LLB (Hons) at the University of Law in Bristol. He then pursued a postgraduate degree, obtaining an MSc in Law, Business, and Management, while also taking the Legal Practice Course at the same institution.
Previously, Harry gained some legal experience working on private client matters before relocating to North Gloucestershire.
For nearly two years, Harry has been with J H Gabb & Co. Solicitors, where he received a Training Contract offer from James. He qualified as a solicitor in March 2025.

Before joining Gabb Legal, Arjun worked in the litigation departments of several law firms in Birmingham and London. He has gained experience working in civil litigation matters for both commercial and individual clients.
Outside of work, Arjun is a passionate football fan and enjoys reading about history.

Harini was working in litigation and dispute resolution specializing in commercial laws & real estate, Insolvency & Bankruptcy and electricity laws specializing in clean energy.
After moving to the UK, Harini is presently qualifying as a Licensed Conveyancer and working towards SQE1, whilst working in the residential property team at Gabb Legal Limited.

Maria has previous experience in Probate matters and Legal work before moving to Gabb Legal where she works as an Administrator and Paralegal. Maria can interact and effectively communicate with people from diverse backgrounds, highlighting partnership, teamwork and problem-solving.
Maria also enjoys Martial arts, holding a Brown Belt in Karate.
